The History of IKIP
IKIP PGRI Bali was officially established on 25th August 1983 by Governor of Bali Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra (in memory) to realize the goal of creating qualified and professional teachers. Because of hard work, struggles and the high dedication of the founder and all, now IKIP PGRI has its own campus in Jl. Seroja Tonja and Jl. Akasia Sumerta.

IKIP PGRI currently has the following study programs:
A) Bachelor Dgree (Strata 1) consisting of five faculties:
    1) Faculty of Education Science
    2) Faculty of Language and Art Education
    3) Faculty of Education and Social Science
    4) Faculty of Sport and Health Education
    5) Faculty of Mathematic and Science
B) Teaching Sertificate (consecutive model)
IKIP PGRI Bali provides graduates of non-educational Bachelor Degree and Diploma 4 the opportunity to be educated to become a competent and professional teacher through Teaching Certificate with 2 semesters of study with 42 Sistem Kredit Semester (Credit System of Semester), study of education/paedagogic, including teaching practice, and/or field study experience.
C) Diploma 2 program of Kindergarten Teacher Education (D2 PGTK)
IKIP PGRI gives opportunity to the younger generation graduating from Senior High School to be educated to become competent and professional kindergarten teacher. The length of study is 2 years or 4 semesters including field experience (teaching practice).
