| Because the expense of college can be effected by both the availability of teachers and the number of students enrolling, colleges in Bali sometimes do not have readily available published rates. The cost in US dollars is also effected by the current exchange rate at the time of payment. As a result, we typically do not know final tuition expenses until the day of enrollment. Therefore, we are using the following guidelines: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| General breakdown of costs
involved in sponsoring a student (in US$ dollars): $1,200.00 Yearly Tuition ($100/month, average among programs) $600.00 Yearly Stipend ($50/month/per student) $600.00 Laptop Computer (Optional) |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Totals for fully sponsoring a student: First Year: $2,400 (Subsequent Years: $1,800) ~ 2 Year Total: $4,200 ~ 3 Year Total: $6,000 |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Prices vary from program to program, and programs vary from two to three years, therefore we are using an average yearly tuition as our guideline. While we would love to receive donations for fully funding a student, we understand that not everyone can afford these amounts. A smaller donation, e.g. $50, is enough to cover many of the expenses for one of the students for a whole month. This amount allows them the time away from work and the freedom to pursue their education. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
